Kristin Davis: And Just Like That star’s make-up free selfie at 59

Kristin Davis is being praised for letting her natural beauty shine through after admitting to going too far with cosmetic fillers.

The And Just Like That star, 59, shared a makeup-free selfie on Instagram Tuesday that was taken during a trip to Kenya earlier this year.

In the snap, the actress let her natural waves flow as she gave a soft smile to the camera. She teamed her casual look with a pink-colored shirt.

“Jet lagged, but the Kenya hair is worth it #throwback,” she captioned the image.

It wasn’t long until fans rushed to the comments section to compliment Davis on her youthful glow.

“Natural beauty,” wrote Sarita Choudhury, who plays Seema Patel in the “Sex and the City” spin-off.

Another wrote, “You really look great without makeup!!!,” while a third added, “Still beautiful.”

Last summer, Davis opened up about the barrage of negative comments she’s faced over her appearance over the years.

The actress has been open and honest about her use of fillers but said she’s been “ridiculed relentlessly” by online trolls.

“It’s hard to be confronted with your younger self at all times,” Davis told The Telegraph in June of 2023.

“And it’s a challenge to remember that you don’t have to look like that,” she said.

“The internet wants you to — but they also don’t want you to. They’re very conflicted.”

The “Sex and the City” alum said she first dipped her toe into the cosmetic procedure world by trying out Botox — however it “didn’t do anything else for a long time.”

It was then that Davis experimented with fillers.

“I have done fillers and it’s been good and I’ve done fillers and it’s been bad,” she told the outlet “I’ve had to get them dissolved and I’ve been ridiculed relentlessly. And I have shed tears about it. It’s very stressful.” The actress, who found fame playing Charlotte York on the hit HBO series, said “people personally blame us when it goes wrong” when it’s the doctors who carry out the work.

In 2022, Davis admitted that ageing in the public eye has been “extremely stressful.”

“It can be extremely stressful to be ageing and to be compared to your much, much, much younger self,” she said of the chatter surrounding her and her co-stars’ appearances.
